what was that?

What was That? is back!

It’s bonkers to think this is the fifth year of What was That? and the journey has seen tweaks, changes, rebrands, and many incredible musical discoveries and conversations.

I took January away from content and shows to rest, scheme, and spend more time with my family. It was an incredibly busy time in my nine-to-five life too with the promotion and relocation of my grocery store career in moving back to Fairfield Thrifty Foods to run the produce department in November last year. I was tasked with rebuilding the team and adjusting standards to get a sleeping giant back in a powerful position, and things are going well.

The foundation of What was That? revolves around Modern Rock. But in the early days it wasn’t defined by genres, if I felt an artist and their creation needed your ears, and their work sparked child-like giddy excitement within me, then I dove deep into their creations. This is an important change as we move ahead, anything goes, but Modern Rock will still be the main focus.

I also have the change the business model to stay sustainable. This means that a major change is coming this Easter. But my passion for music discovery, entertainment, conversations, and connection will not falter.

I love context, but with these next steps I’m just going to do my thing and you’ll see some exciting new podcasts, reactions, and creations, along the way.

Thank you so much for your continued support, and I urge those who have yet to join me on Patreon to do so. You can join for free, or you can choose to sign up as a monthly, or one-off payment yearly, Wuzzer.

My first post of the year came out a few days ago, and for those that read this blog, please enjoy it below.

For now, much love, and Happy New Year, haha.
